Learning Time management and stress can be your success in college. It can be helpful but difficult when we first try to use them. Once we use them, can help us save a lot of time and stress. In my reading of Williams Atkinson’s article in titled “Don’t let time mange you” (Pro Quest ID, 15848084, ISSN: 0744102) Mr. Atkinson discuss on ways to manage your time and study habits. Some of the tools he discusses are How to plan to study, how to budget time and ways to get around ADHD. Some of the suggestions are taking breaks from studying. Work in block of fifteen or twenty minuets then take a fifteen minuet break by getting up and stretching your legs or go have a cup of coffee or tea, some other ways are to use different highlight color marks when highlighted parts of the book or sentience. Use a daily planner for all your work and mark everything down in it. This might be hard to do at first but if you learn this and get use to it in your first semester, you be working more efficient for the rest of your college life. Daily planners are more useful in college then in High school or in the lower grades, because of the larger work load in college then in High school and need to budget your time, Mr. Atkinson said. It is impartment to have personal time and family time also. By planning your time, you should be able to have both. Do not take to many subjects at one time! Know what your limits are and what workload you can handle. For me, it’s the old adage “ don’t burn the candle at both end” or “ Once burnt better learn” So learn now how to plan your work and don’t take to many things at once. In his actual, he spoke to a woman, who is now president of a large corporation. She talks about, the employees and how they time and their workload and mange time. She talks about how she had trouble in college when she first started and how she learn how to mange her time. She also added, if you are a social person and has trouble studying or getting started on studying, suggests getting a study buddy to help you. Someone who is efficient in the subject and planning study time and help you be more organize. He or she may help you understand what you are studying... |
